Cosmetic Lip Tattoo

Lip blushing is a form of cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. Lip blush delivers a more natural look and give the illusion of fuller lips.

 

Aside from having a lip color that won't fade or smudge no matter how many coffees or cocktails you down, lip tattooing also defines the shape of the lips and depending on the technique, can make them look slightly fuller too without fillers!

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT 

 

  • Appointment time 2.5-3 hours

  • Photograph and Video of Lips Before, During, and After Procedure

  • Lip Shaping Mapping

  • Color Selection

  • Topical numbing - if needed

  • Cosmetic Tattoo Procedure

  • Explanation of Aftercare

  • Result vary from person to person

  • Last 2-3 years depending on skin type, skincare regimen, lifestyle, and etc.

CONTRAINDICATION

 

List of those who are NOT eligible for

cosmetic tattoo services: 

 

  • Under the age of 18

  • Must not be pregnant

  • Taking immunosuppression medication/have been diagnosed with an immune disorder

  • Taking blood thinning medication

  • At high risk of infection

  • Have taken antibiotics in the past 30 days

  • Have had peels/laser/micro needling within the past four weeks

  • Have taken Accutane in the past year

  • Taking krill oil | fish oil

  • Have had laser resurfacing in the past year

  • Skin irritations or psoriasis/eczema near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc)

  • Lip Filler in the past 2 weeks

  • Auto immune diseases

  • Chemotherapy

  • Thyroid disturbances

 

 

PREPARATION PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT

 

  • Do not perform electrolysis one week before procedure 

  • Avoiding tanning two weeks prior or have sunburned face

  • No antibiotics 2 months prior.

  • If you suffer from cold sores, you need to be taking acyclovir at least 3 days prior to your appointment and continue to take it 3 days after your procedure!

  • Exfoliate & moisturize your lips every day 3-4 days prior to your appointment.

  • Do not have Lip Filler 3 weeks prior & or 3 weeks after.

  • No alcohol consumption 48 hours prior to appointment. 

  • No caffeine (coffee and or tea) day of procedure.

  • Avoid having procedure done when you are on your menstrual cycle.

 

Please Note: Please avoid having your lip procedure done 5 days before, during, and 5 days after your menstrual cycle. You will be more sensitive during this time and it can also affect the healing result.

 

May require additional Perfecting Touch-up session to achieve desired result.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

Your lips will go through several phases during the healing cycle. 

 

  • Keep lips moisturized at all times. Do not peel any dry skin / scabs. 

  • Drink using straws.  When eating, do so carefully to avoid grease, oil touching your lips while its healing. 

  • Avoid direct sun exposure.

  • If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact your artist immediately, to discuss further instructions.

  • Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, cold sores, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.
